Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and emerging trends
- Lead research and development initiatives in cutting-edge fields including AI, quantum computing, and immersive technologies
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies for potential integration into company operations
- Present strategic technology forecasts to executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and mentor high-performance teams of futurists and technology innovators
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Drive innovation through scenario planning and trend analysis
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record in emerging technology implementation (AI, blockchain, AR/VR)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies
- Deep understanding of technology convergence and future market disruptors
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and board members
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation
- Strong project management skills with PMP or equivalent certification
