Responsibilities
- Architect 2026 technology roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and next-gen biotech
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing prototyping frameworks for emerging technologies
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive innovations with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align innovation strategies with organizational vision
- Develop patentable solutions in exponential technologies (quantum AI, synthetic biology)
- Present future scenarios to stakeholders and secure $10M+ annual R&D budgets
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or related field with 8+ years R&D experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Expertise in horizon scanning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams of 15+ engineers and scientists
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
- Fluency in exponential technologies and regulatory frameworks
