Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including AI ethics and quantum applications
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, engineering, and product teams
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies with patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Design and validate future-proof product architectures using scenario modeling
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage $2M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Build and mentor a team of 5-7 futurist researchers and technical architects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products with 7-figure budgets
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI, quantum computing, or biotech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with focus on innovation
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience with patent portfolio development and IP strategy
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
