Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for 2026-era technologies including quantum neural networks and carbon-negative AI systems
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals and emerging market trends
- Secure $5M+ annual funding through strategic partnerships with DARPA, EU Horizon, and private venture capital
- Present futuristic concepts to C-suite executives and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Mentor a team of 12 futurists and technology architects across three global innovation hubs
- Monitor geopolitical shifts and regulatory changes affecting long-term tech adoption (e.g., AI governance frameworks)
- Patent 3+ groundbreaking technologies annually in fields like synthetic biology and space-based manufacturing
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with proven impact in emerging tech adoption
- PhD or equivalent in Quantum Computing, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published research in Nature/Science on technology forecasting or innovation ecosystems
- Experience securing federal grants >$10M for advanced R&D projects
- Deep expertise in ethical AI frameworks and responsible innovation practices
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, R, or Julia preferred)
- Portfolio of 5+ commercialized technologies with >$100M market impact
- Clearance for working with classified next-gen defense technologies (preferred)
