Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end innovation lifecycle from ideation to market launch for 2026-era technologies
- Analyze emerging trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to identify transformative opportunities
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning R&D with long-term business objectives
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to secure buy-in and resources for futuristic initiatives
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and domain experts
- Present compelling innovation cases to stakeholders and investors
- Monitor competitive landscape and patent landscapes for emerging threats
- Drive culture of experimentation and calculated risk-taking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching at least 3 disruptive technologies
- Deep expertise in emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical and systems thinking capabilities
- Strong financial acumen for ROI modeling of futuristic initiatives
- Experience securing $5M+ budgets for innovation projects
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futurism (e.g., MIT Tech Review, Wired)
