Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with theoretical physicists to translate quantum phenomena into practical code
- Develop error-correction protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional prototyping sessions with AI and materials science teams
- Document quantum algorithm performance metrics and scalability benchmarks
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS + 5 years experience accepted)
- Proficiency in Q#, Qiskit, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures (HPC)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Portfolio demonstrating quantum algorithm implementations
- Certification in quantum machine learning (e.g., IBM Qiskit Advocate)
