Job Description
Shape the Future of Computing in 2026
We are looking for a visionary 2026 Quantum Readiness Architect to lead our transition into the post-classical computing era. As technology accelerates towards the 2026 horizon, we need a strategic leader to bridge the gap between theoretical quantum mechanics and scalable enterprise infrastructure.
Why Join Us?
At Nexus Horizon Systems, we don't just predict the future; we engineer it. You will work on cutting-edge projects that define the standard for secure, quantum-resistant systems in the United States.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for designing the architectural framework for our quantum computing migration, ensuring data integrity, and training the next generation of technical talent.
Responsibilities
- Architect Quantum Roadmaps: Define and execute the technical strategy for migrating legacy systems to quantum-resistant architectures by 2026.
- Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC): Design and implement advanced cryptographic protocols to secure sensitive data against future quantum threats.
- R&D Leadership: Collaborate with top-tier physicists and software engineers to explore emerging quantum algorithms and hardware capabilities.
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of quantum computing modules into existing cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Team Mentorship: Lead a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning in emerging tech.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all architectural designs adhere to federal security standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 3 years specifically in quantum computing, cryptography, or advanced AI systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust, with hands-on experience using quantum SDKs (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil).
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and translate complex scientific concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a track record of solving unsolvable problems in high-stakes environments.
- Communication: Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
