Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum, biotech, AR/VR)
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives identifying disruptive technologies with 2026 market potential
- Conduct scenario planning for regulatory, ethical, and adoption challenges
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and investment committees
- Manage partnerships with academic institutions and government labs
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology trends
- Oversee R&D budget allocation for emerging tech prototyping
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record of forecasting technology adoption cycles
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, blockchain, etc.)
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and boards
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or industry forums
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., Foresight Practitioner)
