Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology foresight strategy for 2026, analyzing emerging trends in quantum computing, AI governance, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate next-gen solutions (e.g., neural interfaces, carbon-negative tech)
- Establish ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI deployment
- Forge strategic partnerships with research institutions and tech incubators
- Present technology roadmaps to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage a $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused KPIs
- Mentor a team of 12 futurists and technology strategists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, AGI development, or synthetic biology
- Proven track record of launching commercialized innovations within 24-month cycles
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Spectrum, MIT Technology Review, or similar
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong familiarity with ISO 20700 technology foresight standards
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
