Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and business objectives
- Lead research on emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, nanotech) with 2026+ implications
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype futuristic solutions and validate technical feasibility
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Build and manage a global network of academic, industry, and governmental innovation partners
- Anticipate societal and ethical implications of emerging technologies and develop mitigation frameworks
- Drive innovation workshops and hackathons to harvest disruptive ideas from internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years focused on future-tech roadmapping
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI experience essential)
- Deep understanding of technological singularity concepts and exponential growth curves
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Published thought leader in technology foresight (white papers, patents, or conference keynotes)
- Global network of innovation contacts in academia, government, and Fortune 500 R&D
