Your work will directly influence product development cycles, R&D investments, and market expansion strategies for the next 3-5 years.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology foresight strategy targeting 2026-2030 horizons
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum AI, neural interfaces, synthetic biology) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Author annual 'State of the Future' reports for executive board and investor briefings
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption readiness and innovation ROI tracking
- Partner with academic institutions and government labs on next-gen research initiatives
- Drive patent strategy for breakthrough technologies in development pipeline
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale companies
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (AI ethics, quantum applications, etc.)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed tech journals or industry whitepapers
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic technologies
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) for trend analysis
