Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics governance frameworks aligned with evolving regulations (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Conduct bias audits and ethical risk assessments for high-impact AI systems including autonomous vehicles and medical diagnostics
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle, from data sourcing to deployment
- Establish certification processes for third-party AI vendors and integrations
- Lead cross-functional working groups on responsible AI practices
- Represent the company in industry consortiums and regulatory discussions on AI ethics
- Develop training programs for engineers and executives on ethical AI implementation
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, Law, or related field with 5+ years in AI governance
- Proven experience implementing ethical AI frameworks in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, or autonomous systems)
- Expertise in bias detection/mitigation techniques and fairness metrics for ML models
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations and standards bodies
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Published research or industry contributions to responsible AI discourse
- Experience with AI transparency tools and explainable AI (XAI) methodologies
