Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical frameworks for autonomous systems deployed by 2026
- Lead cross-functional audits of AI algorithms for bias, fairness, and transparency
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical design principles from concept to deployment
- Author industry-shaping white papers on AI governance and regulatory compliance
- Represent Nexus at global forums on AI ethics (WEF, UN, OECD)
- Mentor junior researchers in speculative AI ethics methodologies
- Drive innovation in explainable AI (XAI) and responsible data curation
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Philosophy, or Ethics with 5+ years in AI governance
- Published research in top-tier journals on algorithmic fairness or digital rights
- Expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and emerging global AI regulations
- Proven experience auditing high-stakes AI systems (healthcare, autonomous vehicles)
- Deep knowledge of ethical frameworks (utilitarian, deontological, virtue ethics)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex ethics for technical teams
- Track record of influencing industry standards through thought leadership
