Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems deployed in high-stakes industries
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives on algorithmic bias mitigation and explainable AI
- Partner with product teams to embed ethical considerations into the AI development lifecycle
- Author white papers and policy recommendations for regulatory bodies preparing 2026 AI legislation
- Mentor junior researchers while establishing the company's thought leadership in AI ethics
- Conduct scenario planning for emerging ethical challenges in generative AI and autonomous systems
- Present findings at international conferences and industry summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field with 5+ years of AI ethics research experience
- Published work in top-tier ethics or AI journals demonstrating thought leadership
- Expertise in bias detection techniques and fairness metrics for machine learning models
- Experience collaborating with policymakers and regulatory bodies on technology governance
- Deep understanding of emerging AI trends (neuromorphic computing, quantum AI) and their ethical implications
- Proven ability to translate complex ethical concepts into actionable engineering requirements
- Strong background in participatory design methodologies with diverse stakeholder groups
