Responsibilities
- Design and implement bias detection/mitigation algorithms for ML systems
- Develop ethical AI governance frameworks aligned with emerging regulations
- Conduct interdisciplinary research on AI societal impacts and ethical implications
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards in product lifecycles
- Author white papers and industry standards for responsible AI deployment
- Lead stakeholder workshops on AI ethics with corporate and government partners
- Advise on emerging AI regulations and compliance strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in machine learning fairness metrics and algorithmic bias mitigation
- Strong background in ethical frameworks for autonomous systems
- Publication record in top-tier AI ethics or ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, etc.)
- Experience with regulatory landscape (EU AI Act, NIST frameworks)
- Proficiency in Python/R and statistical analysis tools
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
