Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum computing and advanced AI systems for 2026-era applications
- Manage and mentor a team of 8-12 researchers and engineers
- Develop novel quantum algorithms and machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate research into commercial products
- Secure and manage research grants from federal and private institutions
- Present findings at top-tier conferences and publish in leading journals
- Ensure ethical implementation of emerging technologies
- Strategize long-term R&D roadmap aligning with 2030 tech forecasts
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of research leadership in AI or quantum technologies
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, machine learning, and high-performance computing
- Experience securing $500K+ in research funding
- Strong background in ethical AI development and quantum security
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and ML frameworks
- Exceptional strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration skills
