Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and cleanliness.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in health status to the supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a safe and clean living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, or accompany clients to appointments and social events to reduce isolation.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or recreational activities.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor and report any changes in physical or emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) license preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or geriatric care is highly valued.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping seniors and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to maintain a consistent schedule and arrive on time.
- Clearance: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
