Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide compassionate support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and assist with medication administration as directed by licensed nurses.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in stimulating conversation, hobbies, and social activities to promote mental well-being and reduce isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, including light laundry and chores.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, or errands, ensuring safe and timely travel.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in a client’s physical or emotional condition to our nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is a plus, but we provide paid training for qualified candidates.
- Certification: Current state certification (CNA/HHA) or valid CPR/First Aid certification.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation are required.
- Character: Must possess a patient, kind, and trustworthy demeanor.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
