Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in condition or concerns to the Care Manager.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and changing bed linens.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and document care logs accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and current auto insurance.
- Clean background check and drug screen required.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in home care or healthcare is a plus but not mandatory.
