Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to ensure clients feel happy and secure.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or family member immediately.
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and running errands as needed.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and physician instructions.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or recreational activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid State of New Jersey CNA or PCA certification preferred, but candidates with strong care experience will be considered.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and with empathy.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
