Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics to ensure client safety.
- Monitor clients' daily health status, including vital signs, and report any changes to the supervising nurse immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients to reduce feelings of isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Administer medication as directed by a physician and maintain accurate, up-to-date care logs.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or social activities as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; certification preferred but not mandatory if completing our paid training.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for travel between client homes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Genuine compassion, patience, and a strong desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
