Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
- Administer medication reminders and accurately document care logs and vital signs.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce isolation and improve quality of life.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and recreational activities.
- Monitor client safety and promptly report any changes in health or behavior to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for all clients.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred, but not required for compassionate candidates.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Willingness to work in various residential settings.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
