Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications on time and report any changes in health to our nursing staff.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations, play games, or accompany clients on walks to combat loneliness and promote mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light cleaning tasks, meal preparation, and laundry to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care activities and incidents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CNA, CMA, or HHA Certification preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
- Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
- CPR and First Aid Certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
