Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care assistance with daily activities (bathing, dressing, meal preparation)
- Monitor vital signs and document health observations accurately
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per care plans
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Develop trusting relationships through empathetic communication
- Maintain clean, safe home environments for clients
- Collaborate with families and healthcare teams for holistic care
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide certification
- Minimum 2 years professional caregiving experience
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks
- Background check and TB test clearance
- Knowledge of geriatric care best practices
