Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs and patient intake screenings.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient exams and procedures.
- Draw blood and collect non-invasive specimens for lab analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in EHR systems.
- Provide patient education on medication and treatment plans.
- Coordinate referrals and schedule follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) is required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Colorado State Medical Assistant license (if applicable).
