Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist providers with clinical procedures, including EKGs, wound care, and phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer immunizations and medications per provider protocols
- Coordinate patient flow, ensuring efficient clinic operations and minimal wait times
- Handle inventory management for medical supplies and examination rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Valid Washington State driver's license for occasional off-site duties
