Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Administer medications and perform basic lab tests per protocols
- Update electronic health records with accurate clinical documentation
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up care communications
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active CMA or RMA certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification (current)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competency
- Texas state medical assistant license
- Spanish bilingual preferred
