Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and responses to treatments
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent pressure injuries
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments following infection control protocols
- Support emotional well-being through compassionate communication and active listening
- Participate in shift reports and care conferences to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care or hospital experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
