Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and document resident vital signs, nutritional intake, and physical condition
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic activities as prescribed
- Administer medications accurately and observe resident responses
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement care plans
- Support emotional well-being through meaningful resident interactions
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year long-term care or assisted living experience preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Strong written communication skills for accurate documentation
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and resident rights
- Spanish language skills highly valued
