Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with health department regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and family members regarding patient status and care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of Georgia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others.
