Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and as directed by the nursing staff, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and visitors, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive care experience.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to de-escalate situations and empathize with patients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as needed.
