Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as weight, temperature, and blood pressure.
- Assist patients with mobility issues and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Michigan.
- Previous experience in a home care or healthcare setting is preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
