Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist with medical equipment and maintain sterile environments
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare teams to ensure patient safety
- Support emotional and mental well-being of patients during care
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and facility-specific protocols
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent CNA experience in acute care or long-term settings
- BLS/CPR certification required (AHA preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Clear background check and TB screening within 6 months
- Strong communication skills and compassion for vulnerable populations
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation for Houston-area assignments
