Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Monitor and document vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse)
- Assist nurses with patient mobility and positioning
- Maintain clean, sanitized patient environments and equipment
- Accurately update electronic health records (EHRs)
- Support patient education under nursing supervision
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- New York State CNA certification (or enrollment in approved program)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds with proper technique
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
- Clean background check and drug screen
