Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Transport patients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and activities.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current Texas CNA Certification (required).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and infection control protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
