Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature accurately.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients transfer safely from bed to wheelchair or walker and provide range-of-motion exercises as directed by nurses.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Ensure residents are well-groomed and assist with meal preparation and feeding for those who need it.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record system.
- Communication: Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the charge nurse immediately.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Must hold a current, valid Georgia CNA license (or be a recent graduate awaiting certification).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift, and move patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Valid ID: Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
