Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Provide basic care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and comfort.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates as directed by nursing staff.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with walking, transferring to beds or wheelchairs, and providing ambulation assistance to prevent falls and promote mobility.
- Communication: Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to registered nurses and physicians promptly and effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, logs, and charts in compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Meal Assistance: Serve meals to patients, assist with feeding if necessary, and monitor dietary intake and preferences.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification (CNA license) required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We welcome new graduates and individuals seeking their first role in healthcare.
- Certification: Active Pennsylvania CNA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of medical terminology, strong computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
