Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families during times of need.
- Assist the nursing staff with medical procedures, wound care, and patient transport as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts in compliance with hospital standards.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients to promote recovery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current New York State (NYS) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients safely.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented demeanor with a strong desire to learn.
