Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning patients safely using proper body mechanics.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California CNA License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or home health preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
