Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility and transfer of patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper body mechanics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Kansas State CNA Certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Valid state-issued driver's license and reliable transportation.
