Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (or enrollment in a CNA program for entry-level applicants).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Strong compassion and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
