Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and ensure comfort.
- Communicate patient updates and changes in condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff and physician orders.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred but not always mandatory for entry-level).
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel between facilities if required.
