Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient responses, and health status changes
- Assist with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation protocols under supervision
- Maintain sterile environments and implement infection control protocols
- Serve as a primary communicator between patients, families, and clinical teams
- Support end-of-life care with dignity and empathy in hospice settings
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings
- Utilize electronic health records for accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Active New York State CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in acute care or long-term setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and ethical standards
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
