Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe symptoms, reactions, and changes in patient condition to report to nursing staff immediately.
- Record Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Personal Care: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating to ensure personal hygiene and dignity.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients move, walk, or transfer safely using proper techniques to prevent falls.
- Environment Maintenance: Keep patient rooms and common areas clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Communication: Serve as a vital link between patients and the medical team, relaying concerns and updates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Illinois CNA Certification required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
