Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with the transfer and mobility of patients, ensuring their safety and comfort using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the registered nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
- Document all care provided in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR required.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to infection control and safety protocols.
