Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of medical equipment
- Support nurses with clinical tasks and maintain sterile environments
- Facilitate patient communication and emotional support
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
- Participate in care plan development and team meetings
Qualifications
- Active New York State CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced settings
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
