Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, acting as a bridge between clinical care and emotional well-being.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with eating when necessary.
  • Turn, reposition, and position bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers and ensure circulation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and sanitization standards.
  • Accurately document patient care activities, observations, and responses to treatment in electronic health records (EHR).

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
