Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Health: Observe and report changes in resident behavior, physical condition, and vital signs to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely from beds to wheelchairs or assist with ambulation.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure resident rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
- Document Care: Accurately record patient care activities and any incidents in the medical records system.
- Emotional Support: Build meaningful relationships with residents and provide companionship and emotional support.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active CNA certification in the state of Ohio.
- Licensure: Proof of current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Attitude: Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
