Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or walking aids.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, sanitized environment to prevent infection.
- Communicate patient status and concerns to the nursing team and physicians promptly.
- Administer medications as directed and document all care activities accurately.
Qualifications
- Current Ohio CNA certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
