As a CNA at Memorial Hospital, you will play a crucial role in our patient care continuum. We are looking for individuals who are committed to excellence, integrity, and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) to ensure personal hygiene and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to prevent injuries.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient room environment.
- Document patient care activities and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Florida CNA Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor and a patient-first mindset.
